Jakop Janssønn (NO) (b. 1986) is one of the young up-and-coming musicians from the Norwegian jazzscene. He is a versitale drummer who is used in many different bands in the aspiring Oslo-scene. He has figured in seven albums, written comissioned music for festivals, short films and full-length movies, played at a numerous amount of festivals in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Poland, Germany, Angola, Russia, Kazakhstan, France and South Africa and played with Helge Norbakken, Tomasz Stanko, Eivind Aarset, Nils Økland, André Peterson, Eirik Hegdal, Jørn Øien, Thomas Strønen, Bjørn Kjellemyr, Morten Halle, Nils Økland, Hallgeir Pedersen, Dominic Di Piazza, Arkhady Shikloper and Børge Petersen-Øverleir to name a few.
