Knut Åserud is a photographer based in Harstad, way up in the arctic parts of Norway. He started his career as a portrait photographer focusing on the music industry. When he relocated his business to the north in 2006 he broadened the scope to include advertising, fashion, food, still-life and landscapes into his commercial work.

In 2011 he was hired as in-house photographer and Art Director by the advertising agency Arc Giraff in Vadsø, and went on to creative director from 2013. During the time in Arc Giraff he further developed his conceptual skills and was able to work on a more comprehensive level. The experience of working as creative director combined with 12 years as a photographer results in an ability to create sustainable visual concepts that place the client in the center.
