Born on the first winterday in 1989 in Mo i Rana, the Arctic Cirle city, Håkon started his saxophone career in a marching band at age 10. He quickly got a private teacher and turned out to be quite talented. His classical origin changed into a more rythmical approach after the meeting with the norwegian trombone player Arvid Martinsen. The art of improvisation spoke to Håkon like nothing before, and he started on his path of mastering the art of jazz improvisation. At the age of 15 he moved to Mosjøen to start at the music senior high-school. He lived there for three years. Years which was very important for Håkon’s foundation of technique and inspiration.

From Mosjøen he moved up north to enroll the music conservatory of Tromsø. He spent 6 years in Tromsø, gaining technical profit, gigging, networking and basicaly worked as a musician. That led him to Copenhagen, where the story is still to be continued.
